Getting started on eBay

Have you always wanted to try your hand at selling something via the internet?

Have you been searching for that missing First Day Cover to complete your personal collection? And you have exhausted your search in the shops/dealers. Since it is no longer sold in any of the shops that your know, where else can you go?

If your answer is yes, have you considered using eBay?

Here, in this global market place, you can sell or buy almost anything (legal items, of course).

Interested?

So, your next question is, how do I get started?

Start by booking your seat for this “Getting started on eBay (The workshop)”

This workshop was designed for anyone who has heard or read about eBay but have not really looked seriously into it.

Participants will be shown the “how to” as well as the “what to” with regards to starting this experience.

At the end of the workshop, participants would have registered as a member of eBay and have started their “hands on” experience.

About the workshop leader

I started my working life as a lecturer in accounting and related subjects, standing in front of students from secondary through to diploma and later up to pre MBA levels in leading colleges located in Kuala Lumpur and Penang. That was in 1975, when I started. Since 1982, I have trained adults (personal development and related skills) from various organisations. I enjoyed doing what I do best - sharing ideas, including discovering new areas of interests and new ways to improve (enrich) our lives.

In April 2006, just like you, my search brought me to this thing called “ebay”. When I started there were no teachers to guide me. The experts designed courses that cost RM950 per pop. Talk about flying in style! So on my own, I adopted my customers and sellers as my “sifu”s and developed the business through “trial and error”.

Today, I have a modest network base of about 170 regular customers. (Although there are many who are too busy to leave a feedback!) But this is still increasing!

Since I like the concept of Air Asia, I decided that my workshop should be reasonably priced at RM180 for 6 hours of ideas sharing and hands on approach in developing an “ebusiness of your own”. Now, everyone can afford to go ebaying!
