Business Networking Dinner = 8 October 2008

There will be another Business Networking Dinner this October.

This dinner is organized by partners of Flat World Sdn Bhd. Flat World Sdn Bhd has put together a business platform which is built by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. It is our firm believe that when entrepreneurs meet and network among themselves, it is the beginning of great things.

These dinners have consistently bring together 20 to 30 entrepreneurs from various backgrounds and fields. It is fun to have dinner and discuss business (initial contact, consultations, follow up, etc) in a friendly environment.

The food served by this outlet is GOOD. This is the second time we are having the Business Networking Dinner at KofiHaven.

How to give an effective evaluation – September 17, 2008 (Wednesday)

There will be a half an hour sharing session by me on the topic of giving an effective evaluation for a speech.

I have just participated in a speech evaluation contest organized by local Toastmasters Clubs. The purpose of my conducting this session is to share my experiences with members of Team Flantech Toastmasters Club and their guests who are attending this meeting.

Whether you are a member of Toastmasters International or not, it does not matter. You are invited to attend this talk as my guest and hopefully you will be able to pick up some tips on giving an effective evaluation. The skills need not be limited to the Toastmasters environment. The skills can be used in a variety of situations not just for speeches. You can employ the ideas shared when you have to give a verbal evaluation in any situation - employees or subordinates, spouse, children – practically anywhere, anytime.

For your information, the club meeting starts at 8.00 pm with a half hour of fellowship, followed by the meeting proper. The sharing session will usually be at about 9.40 pm.
