How to give an effective evaluation – September 17, 2008 (Wednesday)

There will be a half an hour sharing session by me on the topic of giving an effective evaluation for a speech.

I have just participated in a speech evaluation contest organized by local Toastmasters Clubs. The purpose of my conducting this session is to share my experiences with members of Team Flantech Toastmasters Club and their guests who are attending this meeting.

Whether you are a member of Toastmasters International or not, it does not matter. You are invited to attend this talk as my guest and hopefully you will be able to pick up some tips on giving an effective evaluation. The skills need not be limited to the Toastmasters environment. The skills can be used in a variety of situations not just for speeches. You can employ the ideas shared when you have to give a verbal evaluation in any situation - employees or subordinates, spouse, children – practically anywhere, anytime.

For your information, the club meeting starts at 8.00 pm with a half hour of fellowship, followed by the meeting proper. The sharing session will usually be at about 9.40 pm.
